HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Foundation raises nearly $130,000 at Elizabethan Gala

O’Fallon, IL - On Friday, November 2, over 300 people gathered at the Regency Conference Center in O’Fallon, IL and celebrated the annual Elizabethan Gala Fundraiser, raising nearly $130,000 to benefit HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. The traditional fall event featured an evening of fellowship and fundraising accompanied by dinner and music.  The program was emceed by former KSDK meteorologist and personality, Mike Roberts.

“Once again we are grateful to our community, physicians, and colleagues that came out to make our annual Elizabethan Gala a huge success,” stated David Garris, Director of HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Foundation.  “Thanks to their generosity, St. Elizabeth’s Foundation is able to provide the hospital with technology and resources to enhance patient care.”

This year, proceeds from the gala will go toward the purchase of a Litho Surgical Laser System for St. Elizabeth’s Surgical Services and a Volcano Core Precision Guided Therapy System for the Heart and Vascular program.

In addition to celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the opening of the new hospital, St. Elizabeth’s Foundation awarded the 2018 Elizabethan Award to Professional Therapy Services President Michael R. Riley, Sr. for his unwavering commitment to the mission and values of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.

About the Elizabethan Gala Fundraiser
The Elizabethan’s history spans over 30 years. Originally known as the “Elizabethan Holiday,” the traditional fall event was transformed into a gala fundraiser in 2012. Since that time, the Elizabethan Gala has become St. Elizabeth’s Foundation’s signature event, raising nearly $1million for programs and equipment at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
