Belleville, IL – HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC), is hosting a Heart Health Awareness month blood drive on Tuesday, February 23, in the Millennium Room from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Convenient parking is available just outside the Southern Illinois Heart Institute building at 340 West Lincoln Street (the back of the hospital).
HSHS Rescue Flight Begins Helicopter Service throughout Southwestern Illinois Region

HSHS Southern Illinois Division is pleased to announce the launch of HSHS Rescue Flight, the new helicopter serving HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Belleville, HSHS St. Joseph’s Highland, and HSHS St. Joseph’s Breese. Service began last Thursday, January 21. Ribbon cutting events will be held the week of February 8th at each of the three hospitals served.

Bolingbrook, IL – HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital today received approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) to build a replacement hospital and ambulatory care center along Interstate 64 and Green Mount Road in St. Clair County. It was a unanimous approval of eight to zero votes.

At the request of HSHS St. Elizabeth’ Hospital, the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) has deferred Tuesday’s vote on the hospital’s proposal to build a replacement hospital and ambulatory care center along Interstate 64 and Green Mount Road in St. Clair County. St. Elizabeth’s will request that HFSRB consider the project again at their board meeting scheduled for January 27, 2015.
