Extended Enrollment Hours Offered
With the March 31 deadline to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act quickly approaching, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital will extend on-site hours to help local residents sign up for coverage.
The hospital has partnered with East Side Health District throughout the entire enrollment period by offering counselors and free access to secure computers at a special location on the Belleville campus. The information center is located in Room 2308 on the main floor of the hospital. Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to Noon.
As a service to those still needing to enroll, extended hours have been added for March 28-30. The times are as follows:
Friday, March 28, 8am-Midnight
Saturday, March 29, Noon-Midnight
Sunday, March 30, Noon-Midnight
In-person counselors will be available to help local residents with questions about choosing health coverage as well as help them sign up. No appointments are necessary and drop-ins are welcome.
“The important message to get out is that there is still time to enroll,” said Donna Meyers, MSN, RN, Directory of Mission Integration, Pastoral Care and Community Benefit. “As a Catholic-sponsored health care institution, St. Elizabeth’s has led many efforts to help the public enroll under the Affordable Care Act. We additionally thank our community partners, like East Side Health District, whose coordinated efforts have made an impact on the number of enrollments processed.”
When accessing this on-site service, people are requested to bring their Social Security Number, employer and income information, and tax information. Additional resources and links include: Getcoveredillinois.gov or call 866-311-1119 and Healthcare.gov.
