St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Welcomes Medical Director of the Wound Care Center

Belleville – St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is pleased to announce Abdul W. Kazi, MD as the Medical Director of the new specialized Wound Care Center, which offers state-of-the-art treatment practices and protocols to heal chronic or non-healing wound caused by diabetes, circulatory problems, and other conditions.

Dr. Kazi will be responsible for reviewing patient care and results, evaluating new clinical products and providing oversight and guidance on policies and procedures. Dr. Kazi will work in collaboration with patients’ primary care physicians to complement services.
St. Elizabeth’s Wound Care Center partners with Healogics, the world's largest outpatient wound care management company and employs a precise scientific approach to explore, test, find and develop the clinically proven methods and technologies that help people heal faster and more completely than before.

Dr. Kazi most recently practiced as a Thoracic Surgeon at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for over 30 years. He attended medical school at Sind Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New

Dr. Kazi is a Board Certified General Surgeon and has completed Hyperbaric and Wound Care Certification from Healogics. Dr. Kazi is also a member of the HSHS Medical Group, the physician organization of Hospital Sisters Health System, the sponsoring system of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
The Wound Care Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is located on the main hospital campus in Belleville, at 300 West Lincoln Street, Medical Office Building B, Suite 200. Patients can be seen with or without a physician’s referral.
