Other Clinical Programs

Our dedication to future health care professionals leads us to offer our facility as a training site for students pursuing several medical career paths. We have strong partnerships with local colleges and universities, and the students get to interact with our dedicated and professional colleagues.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

Through cooperative efforts between St. Elizabeth's and Kaskaskia College, students in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program complete their clinical program requirements on site with access to our specialized equipment. To learn more about the program, click here.

Dietetic Internship Rotation

St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is privileged to serve as a rotation site for Dietetic Interns from Saint Louis University and Fontbonne University. Through this two to four week program rotation, Dietetic Interns have the opportunity to participate in rotation areas including, Clinical Nutrition, Outpatient and Community Services and Food Management Operations. This program assists interns in the completion of competencies towards their 1200 supervised practice hours andhelps prepares them for the Dietetic Registration Exam. Radiologic Technology Program

Radiologic Technologist ranks #15 on the list of 100 best jobs for 2013 according to U.S. World and News Report. Rad Techs provide vital information to allow physicians to make accurate diagnoses toward patient care and treatment. St. Elizabeth's partners with Southwestern Illinois College to provide clinical experiences at our facilities to students pursuing this in demand career. To learn more about the program, click here.

Respiratory Care Program

Those entering into a career as a Respiratory Care Therapist have many career opportunities open to them. Most RTs work in hospitals but positions are also offered in clinics, skilled care facilities, home health agencies, and physician offices. SWIC students in this program will have the opportunity to complete clinical education competencies close to school at St. Elizabeth's. To learn more about the program, click here.
